More information
The NPA National Conference in May will follow several months of actions that Confront Corporate Power at the corporate offices, doorsteps and shareholder meetings of dozens of major unaccountable corporations. We will build on the momentum and energy of the spring and move into election season with bold ideas about a new economy and a plan to engage hundreds of thousands of people in a movement to reclaim our democracy from the 1%.
This year NPA will partner with the National Domestic Workers Alliance on several actions and events to put people first. Both NPA and NDWA will be in D.C. at the same time in May and we will be coordinating with each other to maximize the impact of our 1,000+ combined participants!
The conference program will include:
- Training on non-violent and creative direct action
- Popular education on the NPA Big Story and how we can change the debate in America
- Workshops led by community leaders on a host of issues (holding banks accountable, Make Wall Street Pay for the revenue crisis, affordable and public housing, green jobs, youth leadership, education, criminal justice reform, and many more)
- Victory celebrations
- Accountability sessions
- And actions that bring the issues of the day to the doorsteps and offices of the 1%.
